Pie of the Month - August: Oatmeal Black Bottom Pie

Whole 9-inch pie

A flaky, buttery pastry crust made with European-style butter holds a hidden layer of bittersweet chocolate, topped with a rich brown-sugar oatmeal filling made with pasture-raised eggs, pure cane sugar and real vanilla.

As it bakes, the top becomes deeply golden and lightly caramelized while the center stays rich and chewy, with that dark layer of chocolate waiting underneath.
